Covid-19 – Church Reopening

I met with the Deacons on Tuesday evening, May 12, at the church. A large portion of the meeting was devoted to a discussion related to re-opening the church and safety precautions that would need to be in place for us to do this safely.

Our chairman of Deacons, Glen Tyndall, distributed some very informative literature related to this topic. We are all reviewing this information and plan to meet again on Tuesday May 26, to discuss further. By this time, we hope to have received some additional information from the Governor’s office as to whether restrictions on large gatherings have been further eased.

Let me stress that a re-opening date for our church has not yet been agreed upon. Whenever we do re-open, you can be certain that it will be done in alignment with the guidance we are receiving from our local, state, and national officials. Also, you can be sure that it will be done with adequate precautions in place to ensure your safety.

We do intend to continue recording and uploading the worship services to our website even after re-opening so that we can continue to minister to those who still may not feel comfortable re-entering public spaces at that time.

Please contact myself or your Deacon with questions or if you would like to provide inputs to your church leadership related to re-opening.

Many blessings to you all,

Mark Rogers
